In New South Wales, we are focused on developing, maintaining and operating a network of toll roads in the greater Sydney area.
These roads are among the city’s busiest commuter and freight routes with more than 700,000 trips recorded every workday.
Led by Kristine Cooney, acting Group Executive of Business Operations, our NSW market has significant footprint which means we take a holistic view of the operation and development of our road network. This allows us to detect and address pain points as they emerge to ensure the best possible experience for motorists.
The NorthConnex tunnel project is an example of our proactive approach to addressing of one of the city’s most notorious bottlenecks with an innovative design that caters for future traffic growth.
We are partnering with the NSW Government to build the $3 billion NorthConnex Project, which will link the M1 Pacific Motorway at Wahroonga to the M2 Motorway at West Pennant Hills.
On completion, NorthConnex will provide significant time savings and greater travel-time reliability to motorists. It will also take 5,000 trucks off Pennant Hills Road and complete the new national freight route along the east coast.
We support social investment initiatives that aim to improved the wellbeing of communities located near our road network, with a particular focus on enhancing social inclusion and improving mobility through our Community Grants Program.
We are also delivering a number of regeneration projects along our motorway through our M2 Macquarie Park Motorscapes Project and progressing towards transforming Hornsby Quarry site into a major public park.
We are committed to delivering an excellent customer experience through our Transurban Linkt and Roam tolling brands by continually improving the products and services we offer our customers. This is reflected in our 4.5-star customer satisfaction rating.
