We have joined forces with the popular education program Energy Breakthrough to help the next generation of transport innovators.

Energy Breakthrough provides opportunities for students, teachers, parents and local industry to work together to design and construct a vehicle, a machine or innovation in technology that will represent an ‘energy breakthrough’.

As a part of our support, Transurban employees are mentoring budding young minds and providing guidance and support from within the transport industry. The group of mentors from different areas of the business will help students design and build their innovation in transport technology, with final pieces showcased in action in Maryborough on 20 – 24 November. The program aims to encourage young people to explore solutions to environmental and transport issues.

Another element of the partnership will be the hosting of the new Transurban Energy Expo, which will focus on the ‘Future of Transport’. Exhibits will include virtual reality experiences, demonstrations of cutting-edge safety technology alongside hands-on displays from a host of organisations, including Regional Roads Victoria, La Trobe University and Telstra.
